Summary
A day centred on much of the
return of many corporate flights from Nice and Cannes in relation to the F1.
Returning from the south of France first was Lattitude CS-LTK followed an hour later by the
BBJ LY-KLJ of Klasjet. The last F1 caller was G-LFBD the C525 of Centerline.
After spending some 90 minutes at Multiflight Klasjet then took the BBJ on a
couple of local flights early in the afternoon, perhaps for demo purposes? Falcon
2000 CS-DLD was a welcome visitor from Porto this afternoon as was our old
friend Baron G-LUKA back once again for a short visit from Ronaldsway. Of note
through the zone today were 3 of the 7 Dakotas on display at Prestwick over the weekend eventually making their way to Daks Over
Duxford in Early June. First up was N47SJ “Betsy’s Biscuit Bomber” which passed
between Leeds and Wetherby around 1145. This was followed by N62CC “Virginia
Ann” passing close to Bradford and Wakefield at 1420-1430 and lastly N74589 “Placid
Lassie” at 1520 over the Wetherby area at 1520 and did a flypast orbit of
Sherburn in Elmet a few minutes later. All three examples are in D Day markings
and are hoping to be on show alongside 30 odd Dakotas for the 75th
celebrations over the coming weeks in the UK, France and Germany.Deliveries
This section concentrates on factory new Airline deliveries mainly (but not exclusively) to European operators or flights that may operate into or over European airspace.
